What will I do with my figures one day?
Sometimes I wonder what will I do with my figures on day?
I hope that my interest in them will hold up for a very very long time but they are already starting to become a space problem. When I move into a bigger place this will be alleviated but if I extrapolate their growth…. I wont have room left for myself very soon.
It’s getting so bad its beginning to affect how and what I purchase, which is not really a good way to buy stuff like these.
I was just reading this: http://www.garagecompany.com/about.html and thinking wouldn’t it be cool if I could do the same thing one day but with figures? that would be so much fun. And you can share your joy in them with other people. Figures aren’t that popular over here so it should be relatively easy to carve a niche in them. I can only dream for now.
Hatsune Miku nendoroid
I can’t believe it. A normal nendoroid of Hatsune Miku (#33) just sold on Mandarake for 6600 yen! I hpe the buyer didn’t think it was the special version with the squiggly eyes. That one goes for about that much but 6600yen for the normal version… wow, just wow. O_o I’m glad I got her when she first came out. I guess if someone missed out and they really wanted her the price is okay. Many nendoroids later, shes in my top 5 favourite nendos.
Nendoroid spare parts
Kaiyodo sells a lot of spare parts for their revoltechs in case they break but theres no such luck for figma owners. Apparently though, the revoltech parts will fit on figmas and being that GSC distributes for kaiyodo and they make nendoroids as well as figmas, theres a high chance that all parts will fit together. Appearance wise they all look the same and the kaiyodo spare parts come in a rancgeof size and different joint positions.
I don’t know why GSC doesnt market their own spare parts but for nendo collectors like me who move their figures around a lot this could be a godsend. I just gotta find out which parts fit…

well I was not intending to sign up to this site but I got fed up with getting my comments discarded everytime I tried to comment on here. At first I thought it was just a temporary glitch but it kept happening over months and going to different journals. (I wasnt spamming either unless trying again after getting the discarded error message counts…). So here I am!
I’m not intending to use this blog thing much so dont expect any real entries here. My first name choice got taken too. boo hoo.
